The furthest out of the islands in the Zadar archipelago, Dugi Otok ('Long Island' in Croatian) is a world away from the tourist traps of the mainland. The Telašćica Nature Park is particularly remarkable for its unspoilt beauty and varied scenery. You can also use the island as an easy means of accessing the even wilder Kornati Islands National Park on one of the organised boat trips.
Sali is a great place to stay, given its proximity to the island's main attractions and decent range of facilities. Adamo Travel Agency right on the quayside was very helpful in finding accommodation.
